Location |
As the capital and largest city of Ireland, Dublin combines history and tradition with the amenities and entertainment you'd expect in a modern city. With its energetic music scene, passionate sports fans (discover two exciting sports unique to Ireland: Hurling and Gaelic Football) and diverse working and student population, Dublin is a particularly lively and fun place to call home. |
Program |
In most cases students will take BUS 350, which counts for 3 hours of pass/fail elective credit toward graduation. In some cases, students can receive credit from the academic department that corresponds with his or her internship. For example, if you were planning on getting an internship at an art gallery, you would go to the Art department for credit. Students must find a WFU faculty member in the credit-granting department to serve as his or her supervisor for the duration of the internship. The faculty supervisor is responsible for all academics related to the internship and will assign coursework to be completed during the internship. For BUS 350, the academic supervisor will be provided for you. Coursework could include reflective journals, essays, readings, and research papers.
Note: not all academic departments will grant credit for internships. Please meet with Tyler Favale to discuss this process in more detail. |

Passport Information
Students need to check their passport's expiration date and ensure that it will be valid for at least 6 months after the program's end date.
Students going on a summer program need to make sure their passport is valid through at least mid-February of the following year.
US passport holders who need to renew their passport should visit the U.S. Department of State's passport website for information on this process.
Non-US passport holders who need to renew their passport should refer to their home country's passport office.

If you are a US citizen, you most likely will not require a visa for your summer abroad program. If you do, details will be shared with you by GPS. Non-US passport holders should check with their host country's embassy or consulate to find out if a visa is required for their program or not. |
